About Annie

Annie Hamilton

After completing a degree and an early career in London, I moved to the Chilterns around 20 years ago with first baby in tow. I had always had an interest in complementary therapies and natural healing.

After the birth of my second child I suffered my first bout of debilitating back pain and bounced from one practitioner to another in search of comfort.

It was my first Amatsu treatment that seemed to ‘join-the -dots’ and where I felt listened to, and looked at, in a different way. After that first session I was intrigued how this single, little-known treatment had made such an improvement. I visited the local Amatsu training school and, within a month, I was enrolled on a two year course.

While waiting to start the course I discovered Bowen, equally as fascinating and in physical terms, impactful…. Over a period of 2 ½ years I trained in both therapies to qualify in 2007.

And that was just the beginning…

Over the years I have completed many advanced and specialist workshops in Amatsu and Bowen and other related subjects, to broaden my knowledge and skills. In 2015 I completed Part 1 of Neuro Structural Technique – an effective subdivision of Bowen therapy training. The more I learn, the more I understand that there is so much more to discover…

No one therapy can cure all ills but I am happy that Amatsu and Bowen give me a very effective ‘toolkit.’

The children are now young adults and I still love living in the Chilterns. I enjoy family and friends, atmosphere and food, beaches, walking, yoga and all things wellness!
